busy busy me {current knitting projects}

I'm working from the Spring/Summer issue of Debbie Bliss magazine.

I'm using cotton so it will be lite and still hold some warmth. I've never used cotton before and I'm so excited about how soft its getting!
The pattern says to use size 5 and 6 needles. But I a huge fan of using larger gauges only because they are more comfortable (I only have the larger sized needles in bamboo!) I'm knitting in 8 and 9.





The other project I'm working on is a huge blanket. Jess borrowed my extra blanket for those insanely freezing nights at Plymouth and I'm pretty sure I'm never going to see it again. Oh well, at least shes liking something that is green.

I'm using my extensive collection of various skeins I've collected. There are tones of colors. I must have went into the craft store with the notion of knitting various projects. Hurriedly bought a bunch of random colors and quickly forgot about the projects I had in mind as quickly as I handed the cashier my card.

The blanket is either going to be insanely tripper or crazy-ugly. Either way, its sure to be warm and seriously that's all I care about.
